8 Watt Fluorescent Lamp Inverter Circuit

The following circuit is a 8 watt power inverter circuit:

8 Watt Fluorescent Lamp Inverter Circuit diagram

Basically, the circuit has been designed to drive an 8W fluorescent lamp from a 12V power supply, applying an cheap inverter based on the ZTX652 transistor.

The inverter will drive from supplies in the variety of 10V to 16.5V, attaining efficiencies as much as 78% thus allowing it suitable for use in on-charge systems like as caravans / mobile homes / RVs as well as periodically charged systems like as camping lights, roadside lamps or outhouse lights etc. Other capabilities of the inverter are that it oscillates at an inaudible 20kHz and that it consists of reverse polarity protection.

About Inverter
An inverter is an power electronic device that converts direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC); the converted AC can be at any required voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers, switching, and control circuits. Solid-state inverters have no moving parts and are used in a wide range of applications, from small switching power supplies in computers, to large electric utility high-voltage direct current applications that transport bulk power. Inverters are usually used to supply AC power from DC sources such as solar panels or batteries. It will be useful for emergency electric source
